FEATURES & ENHANCEMENTS

Add Comment Box for Categories on Estimates and Invoices

We have added a Comment box under each Category in Estimates and Invoices. This is a legal requirement in Germany where any comments after the Grand Total figure are treated as non-legally binding. Therefore, they need all their comments to come before the total figure.

The new Category Comment box will show for all agencies, Agresso and Non-Agresso, but it not a mandatory field.

When clicking the ‘Print Preview’ tab you can view exactly how the PDF will generate with the new Category Comments section.

By toggling off the ‘Categories’ in the Output Settings you can choose to hide both the ‘Category Title’ and ‘Category Comments’ in the PDF, thus only showing the Estimate or Invoice line items.

Add ability to ‘Open in Office Online’ all Word and Excel Task Attachments

In a Task, if you attach an EXCEL document to a note – there is no way to open the WOPI editor. The user is forced to download the file, make changes, and then re-upload.

You will now see ‘Open Office Online’ on all Word and Excel documents.

Auto-saving of incomplete Projects created in the Project Wizard

We have added an additional fail-safe mechanism to the Project Wizard. If the Project Wizard fails for any reason, like a failed submission to Agresso, or because of a bug, the Project is still created, and the data already entered into the Project Wizard is saved.

This was implemented for 2 reasons:

  1. The US Project Wizard has many questions and can take some time to complete. Instead of completely losing your work, we will save what we can and create the Project as ‘pending approval’.
  2. The UK / EU agencies would like the auto-approve Project feature enabled. However, there are some defaults which come from the Office or from Brands. We added the fail-safe so if a Brand or Office default is missing, we will create the Project, save the fields and set it as ‘pending approval’ for the Finance Team to fix and approve

FIXES

Fixed cases where Project ‘Status’ Amendments were failing

There have been some cases of Project Amendments failing when cancelling a Project in Pulse. Believe it or not, this was a spelling mistake! We have now accounted for 3 spellings of the word ‘cancel’ to ensure this does not fail going forward.

Fixed issue that was preventing the editing of Pulse brand names

Fix – for the Brand edit page which threw a 500 error when someone tried to change the Brand name.

Fixed bug that was preventing Operations users from editing Rooms

Fix – for the bug which prevented Operation users from creating and editing Rooms.

Update the WYSIWYG editor for Rooms

Fix – Updated the Rooms text editor used for the ‘Have your say’ and ‘Comment’ text fields to the new WYSIWYG technology which includes better bullet points, colour options and sizing options.

Fixed issue that was affecting Brand search in Project Dashboard

Fix – for the brand search in the Edit Project Details which failed to return brand options if the brand name had numbers in it.

FEATURES & ENHANCEMENTS ( UK & EU)

New ‘Project Cost’ column in the Estimate Builder tool

To fulfil a legal requirement for IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation)  we are now going to include a ‘Project Cost’ column on the Estimate tool. This column will submit to Agresso and Finance will be able to use it in their Billing reports.

This is currently disabled until your Pulse Success Manager can take you through a demo of the feature but here is a little bit of information on how it works.

  1. When enabled, you will see a new column in the estimate tool called ‘Project Costs’ located to the right of the ‘Total’ column.
  2. We have added a new Activity Type identifier label to the left of the Activity dropdown. The labels are coloured in the following way
    • Red for Non-Billable (if your Agency turns this on)
    • Teal / Green for Direct Recharge
    • Blue for Billable items
  3. The ‘Project Costs’ column has the following behaviour:
    • Non-Billable items have a ‘Total’ of 0 and a ‘Project Cost’ column which calculate as quantity x unit amount.
    • Direct Recharge items will have a ‘Project Cost’ which is equal to the amount of the ‘Total’ column. The ‘Project costs’ column is editable.
    • Billable Items will have a default ‘Project Cost’ of zero with no option to edit the field.

When approving the Estimate, the ‘Project Cost’ column will submit to Agresso along with the rest of the Invoice item lines.
  4. New ‘Project Cost’ subtotal under each category.

A new Grand Total breakdown

  1. The ‘Billing to Client’ is the total amount of the ‘Total’ column
  2. The ‘Direct Recharge’ is the total amount of the ‘Project Cost’ column for, well Direct Recharge item (Teal!)
  3. The ‘Other Project Costs’ is the total amount of the ‘Project Cost’ column for Non-Billable items.
  4. Net Billing is ‘Billing to Client’ LESS ‘Direct Recharge’
  5. Gross Income is ‘Net Billings’ LESS ‘Other Project Costs’

Don’t worry if you don’t like the language on the breakdown. We can easily update this to suit your Agency.

There are no changes to the PDF estimate or the Consolidated Estimate. The Project Cost column and new Grant Total breakdown are excluded from both.

The only change on the linked PO is that we now bring any Non-Billable items from the Estimate over to the PO when ‘Entire Document’ is selected of course. Most of our Agencies do not use the Non-Billable Activity Type and therefore there is no change for most Agencies.

There is no change to the linked Invoice.

FIXES

Fixed issue of failed void Invoices for Agencies that use the Invoice Header Feature

Fix – for the issue of failed void Invoices for Agencies that use the Invoice Header Feature. This was because instead of sending the Invoice Header values back to Agresso on the void submission, we sent back an empty field. This was resolved so we now send the same information in the void as we do in the original Invoice.
